Horses & Heros

The Boise Police Activities League (PAL) Horses & Heros Program brings together Boise Police officers and their trusted horses to engage with the community in a unique and meaningful way. This program highlights the strong bond between officers, animals, and the people they serve. The Horses & Heros Unit was created to participate in a variety of community events throughout the year, including fairs, rodeos, parades, and other special gatherings.

Whether greeting families at a local fair or leading a parade, the Mounted Program serves as a powerful symbol of unity, trust, and community spirit in Boise.

Meet Zenni

Meet Zenni, the first official horse of the Boise Police Activities League’s Horses & Heroes program! Zenni is proudly partnered with Officer Tiner, who leads our mounted unit and brings with her years of experience working with horses. Together, Zenni and Officer Tiner help bridge the gap between law enforcement and local youth—showing how teamwork, trust, and care can build strong relationships both on and off the saddle. Zenni and Officer Tiner embody the spirit of partnership and service that defines Horses & Heroes.
