You’ll get an up-close look at the opportunities available right here in our community, hear how the National Guard can help you build valuable skills and gain real-world experience, and explore how that experience can help prepare you for a future career in law enforcement.

📍 The Game Plan

0900 | Meet at Boise Police Department
We’ll kick off the day at Boise PD before traveling together to the Idaho National Guard base at Gowen Field.

0930 | Meet the Idaho National Guard
Hear from a recruiter about opportunities, career paths, and what the Idaho National Guard has to offer.

0945 | Drill & Ceremony
Learn the basics and participate in this military tradition, focusing on discipline, coordination, and teamwork.

1100 | Lunch & Nutrition
Enjoy a free lunch provided by the Idaho National Guard and hear from a guest speaker about the importance of nutrition and fueling your body for performance.

1100–1400 | Hands-On Training
Learn about and participate in basic room-clearing concepts and team movements in a supervised training environment.

1400 | Return to Boise PD
We’ll travel back to Boise Police Department.

1430 | Parent Pickup
Pick-up at Boise Police Department.
