Tube Hill Night 26′

Join the Boise Police Activities League (PAL) for our annual Tube Hill Night on January 29, 2026, from 5:45–7:15 PM at Gateway Parks, Eagle Island State Park. This fun winter evening brings youth and Boise police officers together for a night of fun and connection.

This event is made possible by Gateway Parks, who is generously sponsoring Tube Hill Night. We hope to see you there!

Annual Raft Trip

When: Monday, July 28, 2025 | Ages: 9-17YO | Where: Payette River

Get ready for an exciting day on the water at the Annual Boise PAL Raftalong! This one-day adventure offers local youth the rare opportunity to experience the thrill of rafting down the beautiful rivers of Idaho, all while building positive connections with Boise police officers.

Event Highlights:

11:00am-12:00am drop off and lunch at Boise Police Station
12:00am-1:00pm travel to Cascade Raft
1:30pm – River time! ~ 3 hours on the water
4:30pm-5:30pm travel back to Boise Police station for parent pickup

Recommended Equipment: We recommend participants bring towels, sun screen and a pair of water shows.

A Fun, Safe Adventure: Youth will enjoy a day of rafting, paddling, and exploring the natural beauty of Idaho’s rivers, guided by Boise police officers and experienced rafting experts.

Positive Community Engagement: The event aims to foster trust and friendship between local kids and law enforcement in a relaxed, fun environment. It’s a unique opportunity for young participants to bond with police officers outside of their usual roles.

Sgt Butler Memorial 5K PAL Squad

When: Saturday, August 16, 2025 | Ages: 8-17YO | Where: Eagle Island Park

Join or PAL squad to run the 5K at the 7th Annual Sgt Butler Memorial run. We will be sponsoring 20 local youth to run with our Officers! Registration will be covered by Boise PAL. 

Paddle with Police

When: Sunday, August 17, 2025 | 10:00am-12:00pm | Ages 13-17YO | Where: Quinn’s Pond

Join us for an exciting day of fun and adventure at Quinn’s Pond, where kids will have the opportunity to enjoy paddle boarding, make new friends, and engage with local heroes. This special event is a collaboration with Idaho River Sports, offering a unique experience for young participants!

Event Highlights:

  • Meet & Greet with Boise Police Officers: Each child will be paired with a Boise Police Officer (3-4 kids per officer) for a fun and engaging experience on the water. This is a great chance to interact with local law enforcement in a positive, community-centered environment.
  • Water Safety Briefing: Before hitting the water, we will provide a short, informative water safety briefing to ensure all participants are well-prepared for their paddle boarding adventure.
  • Introduction to Paddle Boarding Equipment: Idaho River Sports will guide participants through a basic introduction to the paddle boarding equipment, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and ready to paddle out safely.

  • Multi-day sessions: Participate in hands-on golf lessons over several days.
  • Instruction: Boise Police Officers will guide participants through the fundamentals of golf.
  • Fun and Supportive Environment: Learn the basics of golf – from putting and chipping to full swings – in a safe, encouraging setting.
  • Team Building and Leadership: Beyond golf, participants will also engage in teamwork-building activities and discussions with police officers, promoting trust, respect, and community engagement.
  • Free Equipment: All necessary golf equipment will be provided for participants, so just bring your enthusiasm!

Cops & Karts

When: May 29, 2025 | Ages: 9-17YO | Where: Fast Lane Kart Racing, 10243 W. Fairview Ave, Boise, ID 83704

This unique event allows police officers and youth to race side by side, fostering positive relationships while competing in a friendly and exciting atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity for kids and families to interact with officers in a fun and engaging way, helping to break down barriers and build trust within our community.

Don’t miss out on:

  • A thrilling kart race with Boise’s finest! Registration includes 2 free kart races on the Fast Lane Kart Inddor Racing track.
  • Pizza and snacks will be provided.

Flying High Winter Holiday Party

When: December 20, 2024 | 6:00pm – 8:00pm Ages 11-17YO

Boise PAL is gearing up for our annual Holiday Party. This year we are inviting local youth to join Boise Police officers for a few hours of fun and food at Flying High Trampoline Park in Boise. 

Sgt Butler Memorial 5K PAL Squad

All Abilities Welcome

When: August 24, 2024 | 11:00am – 2:00pm | Ages: Youth | Where: Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park

For the second year, the community is invited to join police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other public safety professionals in a meet-and-greet event.

This year we are partnering with the Ada County Sheriff’s OfficeAda County ParamedicsMeridian PDGarden City PDBoise FireCity of BoiseIdaho Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Courageous Kids Climbing.

This event was organized to bring first responders together with community members of all ages, needs, and abilities. Attendees can ask questions, share stories, and explore vehicles and safety gear.

We are pleased to be offering a small group Paddle boarding event at Quinn’s Pond in partnership with Idaho River Sports. 

This event will include a meet and great time with Boise Police Officers that will be assigned to each child (3-4 kids will be paired with each officer present). There will then be a basic water safety brief and introduction to the equipment that the participants will be using.
